 MODULAR LEADER TRAINING

Newcastle operates a 'Training Surgery' approach to Leader Training. Leaders need to attend a Training Surgery in order to work with a Training Adviser (TA), and together they formulate a Personal Learning Plan (PLP) - this will be different for each individual, taking into account Scouting role, previous Scouting experience & skills, non-Scouting experience & skills ........

Matrix of Training Modules

Leaders will also be given a copy of the Adult's Personal File

More information, including FREE training courses can be found at County Training

The next of the District's Leader Training Surgeries will take place on Sunday 17th June - 10am - 4pm - at Silverdale Scout HQ.

A number of Training Advisers will be present (including LTMs & CTM).

So any new or existing Leader who has not prepared their Personal Learning Plan needs to attend to get one prepared.

Also any Leader can come along & get their training validated by one of the TAs.

Please remember that training requirements need to be met within 3 years of appointment, POR Rule 4.36

Future Training Surgery dates : -  Sunday 14th October
